It was reported about 2 weeks back that some IPL franchises have requested the BCCI to change the auction date of the mini-auction which is already slated to happen on December 23 in Kochi.

The BCCI official said, “We understand some officials of some of the franchises will be on Christmas Holidays. But we are unlikely to change the date. A huge amount of logistics are involved in Auction planning. Changing the date would mean REDRAWING everything."
As per the knowledge of Cricinfomer, many staff members of franchises will be celebrating Christmas with their families and it will be difficult for them to be there during the auction.
